EVERYTHING IS A REMIX...
This is an interesting series of video essays concerning issues like intellectual property and copyright, and explores the idea of "what is original?"
I'm sure if the creator of the series, Kirby Ferguson, had turned his focus to comics, we would all be surprised (or maybe not surprised at all) at just how much of what we read/see in comics is actually just a remix of something else.
(make sure to check out all 4 parts and my apologies if you've already seen this, I've just stumbled on the series recently and found it fascinating)

A DAY AT THE ZOO...
I went to the zoo today with my daughter and although I normally
wouldn't put stuff like this up here I thought these animals all had
such interesting faces, and the texture on the Rhino is amazing.

BIG WOW COMICFEST 2012...
Every year at Big Wow (Supercon) they do an auction where one artist provides
the pencils, and several other artists try their hand at inking it, usually over blue lines.
This year, Big Wow attendee, Jim Lee, whipped up a fantastic Batman pin-up and I
inked it, something I almost never do. (ink other artists that is) This piece will be
available for auction during the show, check the show site for more info and I hope to
see lots of you there.
(ps. the auction goes to helping Big Wow with it's expenses, I don't make a dime)

SPIDER-MEN #5 COVER...
Here's the inked version, having not seen the logo beforehand I
think I misjudged how much space to leave on top, I knew the car
would get covered but I figured his feet and the webs could sit on
top of the lettering, sorry, won't do it again.

I LOVE THIS THING...
No, I'm not getting paid for some sort of endorsement, I'm a horrible photographer, but I love taking pictures, and I love taking pictures with this camera. I figure as an "artist" I'm allowed to deviate here every once in a while and share something a little different.

Like I said, I'm not a very good photographer, but sometimes when I need to get away from the table for a little while but I still want to "make pictures" I just grab that little camera and
go for a walk or just poke around the house if it's raining.
(btw, this camera was crazy expensive so it took a long time saving up for it)
(Just in case anyone thinks I'm loaded or anything, I'm an artist, that means poor in english)

R.I.P. Ralph McQuarrie
I think it's pretty obvious that he was a massive influence on my work, not to mention at least half the comic book artists, special effects artists and film directors working today.

20 YEARS LATER...
Not like you'd know it by looking at my "expansive" bibliography but I've now
been exclusively employed as an artist for 20 years, this is the first "paid" page I ever drew.
